Protagonist’s most annoying habit…

A. was a girl of a gentle, if not a little too soft, heart. She used to care so much about various stray creatures whose life she saw as worse off than her own. She brought injured animals and poor children to her home in hope that she would be able to help them. She always felt this pang of remorse when she couldn’t help, couldn’t make the pain go away.

Later when she was no longer a child, she tried to fix the problems of those around her. She tried to be the person who always comes up with a solution. She wanted to mend everything: broken relationships, strained contacts and hopeless situations. It seemed that A. could not leave things be, no matter how broken they were she still had hope that they could be patched up.

She could not understand that sometimes things just had to get fixed on their own.  That more often than not she could not repair others affairs for them. In order to grow wiser, to learn people should fix things by themselves. A. just wanted to help too much. Sometimes her care was misunderstood as interference, meddling with affairs of the other.

As with everything in life she learned the hard way that what for her is sincerity and goodness for others may be seen as annoying and unnecessary. So what’s her most annoying habit? Not being able to leave things alone and trying to help no matter what.
